Members of the media are invited to a media briefing by MEC Ms Sylvia Lucas on Wednesday, 28 July 2010.
August 9 is Women’s day and it has led to an annual commemoration of the day in 1956 when 20 000 women marched to the Union Buildings. The commemorative events for August month intend to remind the country about women’s rights issues and the struggle for women emancipation.

Large parts of the Northern Cape Province are prone to veld fires, especially this time of the year.

14 July 2010 The MEC of Health in province, Mr Mxolisi Sokatsha, embarked on a Health Roadshow to the Namaqua District in the Northern Cape Province during the week of 05-09 July 2010. The aim of the Roadshow was to engage with strategic stakeholders, structures, staff, communities as well as conducting site visits to health facilities. |
