The Northern Cape marked Youth Day 2025 with a vibrant programme of events under the national theme: “Skills for the Changing World: Empowering Youth for Meaningful Economic Participation.”

Provincial Commemoration in Roodepan

On Monday, 16 June, Premier Dr. Zamani Saul led the official Youth Day commemoration at Lucretia Primary School in Roodepan, Kimberley. The event brought together community members, Government stakeholders, and youth for a day of inspiration and engagement.

Event Highlights:

• Motivational speeches and cultural performances celebrating youth resilience and talent.
• Active participation by Government Departments such as SASSA and Home Affairs, who provided on-site services to the community.
• Three young trailblazers each received R100 000 from the Northern Cape Provincial Government to grow their small businesses.
• The 2025 Youth Day celebration in the Northern Cape served as a powerful reminder of the Province’s commitment to investing in young people and shaping a future driven by skills, opportunity, and unity.
