On behalf of the Northern Cape Provincial Government, I would like to convey our best wishes and sincere appreciation to the NCOP for its continued support in ensuring that Provinces carry out their mandate to the best of their abilities.

Our relatively new Administration, under the custodianship of President Jacob Zuma, is convinced that through effective coordination across Government as a whole, and acting in harmony with communities, we can accelerate service delivery and sustainable development.

Summit to Advance Women in Rural Development PDF Print E-mail

As part of celebrating women’s month, the Department of Agriculture Land Reform and Rural Development in the Northern Cape will be hosting a two day summit to Advance Women in Rural Development on the 17th-19 August 2010 in Douglas.  

The aim of the summit is to give women in rural areas and farms an opportunity to state what their livelihoods are and how could government through its programmes of rural development  improve their status.

The Northern Cape Provincial Government (NCPG) recognizes and respects the constitutional right of Organized Labour to embark on industrial action.  However, while upholding this right, the Northern Cape Provincial Government cautions workers NOT to engage in the following activities:
  • Committing acts of vandalism on public and private property;
  • Trashing of streets and other public spaces; and
  • Intimidating or coercing fellow workers to join the strike.
