The Department of Transport, Safety & Liaison Transport Operations Directorate hosted a fun walk and cycling event at the Yorkshire Cricket Ground in Kmberley.
Non-Motorised Transport (NMT) promotes sustainable mobility and compliments public transport through active modes, like cycling and walking. This highly contributes to healthier lifestyles, reduced emissions and less traffic congestion.
The Fun Walk and Cycle Race, which is the third key event for October Transport Month 2025, is to assist in exhibiting the benefits of various modes of Non-Motorised Transport, with the aim of reducing traffic and gas emissions.
