Bursary Application Checklist 2025

Note: It is the applicant's responsibility to ensure that the application adhere to the stated requirements. Failure to do so will result in the application being disqualified.

The following required documents must be submitted with the prescribed application form:

Certified copy of Identity Document
2 Certified copy of recent results (matric / academic results from Higher Education Institution)
3 Certified proof of acceptance by Higher Education Institution
4 Proof of registration at Higher Education Institution
5 Curriculum plan of intended field of study
6 Certified proof of income of both parent(s) / guardian(s) / spouse
7 Latest 3-month bank statements of both parents / guardians
 8 SARS 2025 Income Tax Assessment or confirmation letter from SARS confirming tax status (parents / guardians / spouses)
9  Unemployed applicants in the age bracket 23-30 years should submit confirmation letter from SARS on tax status
 10 Child grants and pension slips confirmed by SASSA
11 In case where the parent (s) guardian (s) or spouse are unemployed, proof of such from the Department of Labour or an affidavit must be attached
12 Self-employed person must attach the latest Financial Statement and Tax Assessment
13 Certified Identity Document copy of the parent(s) / guardian(s) / spouse
14 Certified copy of the death certificate of the parent(s) / guardian(s) / spouse
15 Certified copy of the marriage certificate
16 If parents are divorced, a certified copy of the divorce decree
17 If the Applicantion is for an orphan or fostered child, authentic legal documents from a social
worker or the Department of Justice & Constitutional Development must be attached
18 In case of a single parent, proof of such from school principal or affidavit must be attached
19 The legally appointed guardian must submit the related documents issued by the court /
magistrate stating that he /she is taking care of the child
20 Letter from all registered banks confirming account details / status of both parents / guardians etc. Annexure B

NB: It is important to note that any misrepresentation of information shall result in immediate disqualification and or the bursary will be terminated.
