Following the adrenaline-fueled prize-giving ceremony, the celebration continued with a live music festival headlined by Focalistic, Leemckrazy, KG Smalls, and a sensational lineup of local artists. The fusion of action sports and vibrant entertainment transformed the event into a full-day cultural experience, drawing crowds from across the Northern Cape and beyond.
This year’s KDC Apex Event solidified the Northern Cape’s reputation as a world-class skateboarding destination. MEC for Finance, Economic Development and Tourism Venus Blennies-Magage, who attended the event, praised its role in promoting youth empowerment, tourism, and economic development. “This championship is more than just a sporting event — it's a platform for opportunity, creativity, and growth. We’re proud to host it in the Northern Cape,” she said.
As we wrap up this exciting edition of the Kimberley Diamond Cup, the Department of Economic Development and Tourism remain committed to nurturing young talent, growing urban sports, and positioning the Northern Cape as the home of skateboarding in Africa. We look forward to welcoming even more athletes, fans, and partners to the next chapter of this inspiring movement.
Until then, keep skating, keep dreaming, and keep building the future — one trick at a time.
