Bio

Marcia Korsten is the Head: Oceans Economy in the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment. With extensive expertise in strategic management, public policy, economic development, and public financial management, she has held various senior management and leadership roles in the public sector. She holds a Master's in Economics from the University of the Western Cape and a Certificate in Leading Economic Growth from Harvard Kennedy School. Her work is underpinned by creating value from collaboration and partnerships, capacity building and taking integrated and innovative approaches.
