Bio

Zameka Dasi is a Senior Marine Conservation Inspector in the Fisheries Management Branch of the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment previously known as the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. Her primary function is Compliance Officer under the Chief Directorate Monitoring, Control, and Surveillance: Sub directorate West Coast Compliance unit. She is responsible for the enforcement of the Marine living Resources Act 18 of 1998, its Regulations, and permit conditions for different fisheries.


Presentation
Overview of fisheries compliance work in areas of Alexanderbaai, Port Nolloth, Kleinzee, and Hondeklipbaai. This is in relation to the enforcement of the Marine Living Resources Act in the Northern Cape, in particular Namakwa Region.
