Responsible to provide an efficient and effective communication service to enable the Premier, EXCO, Director-General, HOD’s and Senior Managers to efficient utilisation of information technology as a strategic resource to communicate government services in the execution of their functions.

Purpose

The overarching responsibility of the Directorate is to provide an efficient and effective communication service to enable the Premier, Executive Council, Director-General and Heads of Departments to communicate Governments Achievement and Services through the efficient utilisation of information through the Media and other Communication platforms in the execution of the Provincial Government functions

Employee Health & Wellness:

Responsible to facilitate workplace interventions and provides informed, responsive and research based leadership that will ensure successful implementation of EHW programmes in the workplace.

Purpose

The Employee Health and Wellness Unit (Employee Health & Wellness of People) in the office of the Premier is a workplace intervention and monitoring unit that will ensure successful implementation of wellness programs in the province and OTP.

Responsible to provide professional organisational development services to the Provincial Administration, to ensure that organisational designs contribute to continuous service delivery. It also ensures that departments are compliant with regard to the Framework on Job Evaluation and co-ordinates the development of the OTP’s HR Plan and monitors its implementation.

Human Resource Administration:

It is responsible to manage all HR information and it is tasked with developing transversal HR policies and advising departments on HR compliance. It manages and coordinates Human Resource Administration functions provincially and in the Office of the Premier.

Purpose

To provide strategic leadership in human resource administration in the Northern Cape Province, by ensuring a diverse, competent and committed workforce that is capable to deliver on Government’s mandate. The key focus of this division is to manage and co-ordinate the human resource administration function provincially and Office of the Premier
