THE FOUNDERS OF CANSA WOULD HAVE TURN IN THEIR GRAVES

I’ve noticed, like many years before, the advert in the DFA of Friday, 25 October 2013, which brought for public consumption, the annual walk-for-cancer CANSA walk.  The event was patented as the CANSA PINK WALK, whereby the entire families of Kimberley, which supported the very noble causes of CANSA were invited to participate in.

I must foremost indicate that my entire family supports CANSA and the role it plays in society.  It is for this reason that I am a dedicated participant in the past CANSA PINK WALK and in the annual haircut and hair-shaver fundraising initiatives.  Unfortunately this weekend’s event I could not honour myself, as I had to take care of my two twin baby daughters; but my wife and two other kids did in fact joined CANSA’s PINK WALK.

Fortunately, or unfortunately for CANSA and the DA, the PINK WALK went passed my house, and to my horror and repugnance, I witnessed approximately 20 DA members, wearing their BLUE DA t-shirts (vote DA), whilst participating in the CANSA PINK WALK.  This, notwithstanding the fact that CANSA is supposed to be a non-partisan NPO, and despite the fact that every single participant was given a pink CANSA t-shirt to wear on the day in question.  CANSA in Kimberley has at a definitive level clearly aligned itself with the DA, trodden on the noblest causes which its pioneers have championed.  They, together with the DA have looked down on the rights of many thousands of other non-DA supporters and cancer sufferers.  How must they have felt, when one moment thinking about their love ones, which has perished because of cancer, and some still battling currently, with their families and partners this scourge, to suddenly find themselves in the midst of a party political rally of the DA, disguised within the programmes of CANSA ?

I HOPE that CANSA Kimberley fully appreciate the extent of the Pernicious impact…the insidious harm which they have cause, to the objectives of CANSA in South Africa.

As a supporter firstly of the worthy causes of CANSA in South Africa, and as a definitive non-DA supporter, I will take the time and effort to pursue unremittingly the Kimberley vandals of CANSA’s humane outlook.  My methodology to express my unpretentious objection will find expression through launching a formal complaint with CANSA’s national executive committee; the lead funding departments of CANSA in South African, the departments of Health and Social Development; the body which allows CANSA to function within the realm of the Non-Profit Organisations, the National Department of Social Development, the Human Rights Commission and the Public Protector.

My interpolation is not premise on encouraging an internecine fight, between the DA and the thousands of non-DA supporters, but on the umbrage which the Kimberley-based CANSA and the DA have made certain.
