On behalf of my colleagues on the Executive Council, and indeed the entire Provincial Government, I hereby extend our collective good wishes to every citizen and community of the Northern Cape to enjoy the forthcoming festive season in the all-embracing spirit of Ubuntu, underpinned by the essential values of tolerance, peace, compassion and love.

In being mindful that the coming Festive Season will be celebrated within the context of almost 20 years of democracy under the custodianship of the Governing Party, the African National Congress, we are of the firm belief that the Divine Grace that has been bestowed upon us as a province and a Nation will continue unabated.
We are certain that you and your loved ones will celebrate Christmas with deep and genuine Christian values, and pure merriness that will inevitably usher in 2014 with positivity, renewed hope and unending prosperity for all.

Let us also bear in mind that the Festive Period is a time of giving and in this regard let us not forget the less fortunate, the elderly, the unemployed, child- headed households and other marginalised sections of our society.
