Statement on the return of Neville Mompati to the ANC as COPE member of the Provincial Legislature and COPE national leader
Air JordanThe African National Congress in the Northern Cape wishes to welcome the return of Neville Mompati to the ANC who was serving as Cope Member of the Northern Provincial Legislature and National Leader of COPE.
Neville Mompati was one of the founding Members of Cope who broke away from the ANC in 2008. He has now resigned from Cope and has joined the ANC with immediate effect.
We are receiving him with open arms, and we are convinced that the decision of coming back to the ANC was the correct one. He has always been a seasoned leader of the ANC with impeccable credentials. And the ANC has invested immensely in him over the years. We always knew that he was never happy in the company of such confused people who even fail to just hold an elective conference to choose leaders
We believe that Comrade Neville will add more impetus to the ANC’s local government elections campaign. But we have always been confident in the work that our branches are doing to ensure an overwhelming victory for the ANC in the province.
We are extremely happy that he has chosen the ANC as his political home, the only organisation with A clear vision and programme to improve the quality of life of our people.
Welcome home!!!
