The Super Fantastic Breakfast show of Radio 2000 anchored by the funky Just Ice (Justice Ramohlola) broadcasted live from the Office of the Premier, J.W. Sauer Building on Friday 24 June 2011. This broadcast is part of Radio 2000’s visit to all nine provinces. The focus is in line with the youth month programme of June. The Provincial Chairperson of the National Youth Development Agency Mr. S Tlhoale, The Executive Mayor Of Sol Plaatje Municipality Me A Ntlangula, The MEC for Finance, Economic Development and Tourism Mr. J Block and the Premier Me Hazel Jenkins, were interviewed during the show.

The highlight is the agreement with all municipalities in the province to include young people as the centre of their development, the fruitful engagement with the mining sector to contribute to the establishment of the Northern Cape University.
Executive Mayor Ntlangula said the first priority would be to improve on staff moral at the Sol Plaatje Municipality. This will relate to a more productive work force and improve service delivery. The continuation on the improvement of infrastructure especially the laying of 10km of new water pipelines to ensure quality water is delivered to all citizens. She said her passion for nature and issues of the environment is of utmost importance and that the township around Kimberley will be cleaned as a matter of urgency.
MEC Block focused on two major programmes government will host in the next two years. The first being the Maloof Money Cup skate boarding event. This international event will be hosted for the first time outside of the United States of America and the province will host it for three years. The second event is the Bloodhound project which has already created about 300 jobs through the EPWP programme in Hakskeenpan of which 50% of the employed are women. The MEC alluded to the funding of SMME’s through the Department of Economic Development and a large number of those funded are young people.
The Premier focused on the broader issues being the review of the Northern Cape Provincial Growth and Development Strategy (NC PGDS), progress on the establishment of the Northern Cape University and decent job creation programmes of the province. Tourism as a key driver of economic growth will see young people trained as tour guides, the province seek to involve more young people in science and technology with the bid to host the SKA in the Carnarvon area. The Premier said with the provinces relationship with the Armenian Government, young people will be trained in diamond cutting, beneficiation and jewelry making. The Premier explained that all her international trips were for the benefit of the people of the province and not for her as an individual.
