The Northern Cape Provincial Government continues to build public - private partnerships, in an effort to continue the work towards building a modern, growing and successful Northern Cape amidst the COVID-19 pandemic which has seen Government re prioritizing much of its budget.

Today the Premier, Dr Zamani Saul received  Personal Protective Equipment (PPE's) from Standard Bank as part of their contribution towards the fight against COVID-19.  The PPE  will go a long way in assisting officials at the Department of Health to stay safe and protected as they fight this invisible enemy.

Standard Bank has also made available 20 million rand for small enterprise development towards the cushioning of small business against the devastating effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. This will be made available as an interest free loan to small businesses, linked to this Standard Bank will also work together with Provincial Government, in a programme where 100 young people will be identified and deployed to different industries in the Province, Standard Bank will be responsible for the payment of their stipends.

Provincial Government is grateful for such initiatives and calls on other stakeholders from the Private Sector to work with Government in fighting this pandemic and its effects in our communities.
