Minister of Human Settlements, Ms Mmamoloko Kubayi and Premier of the Northern Cape, Dr Zamani Saul, today did a walkabout at the  Lerato Park Community Residential Units (CRU’s) project in Kimberley to assess progress on the project. Accompanying them were the MEC of Coghsta, Mr Bentley Vass, the Executive Mayor of Sol Plaatje Municipality, Mr Patrick Mabilo and senior officials of government.

The Lerato Park CRU programme is part of Government’s programme that focuses on the upgrading of government owned communal rental accommodation otherwise known as hostels. The CRU programme aims to facilitate the provision of secure, stable rental tenure for lower income persons/households.
