The Premier of the Northern Cape, Dr Zamani Saul, welcomes the appointment of Lieutenant General Koliswa Otola as the new Police Commissioner stationed in the Northern Cape.
Lieutenant General Otola has proven herself as a capable senior manager who possesses the required skill and aptitude to lead the South African Police Services (SAPS) and as Provincial Government we will accord her the necessary support and cooperation to ensure that we make the Northern Cape a safer and investor friendly Province.
Her appointment comes at a time when we as Government are launching the National Women’s Month under the theme, “Women’s socio-economic rights and empowerment: Building back better for women’s improved resilience.” This appointment is therefore significant as it finds expression in our commitment to empower women and strike a balance in terms of gender representation in key positions in government.
On behalf of the Provincial Government, Premier Saul bestows our congratulations on Lieutenant General Otola and wishes to assure her of our cooperation and commitment as she embarks on this new chapter of her professional career.
