The Acting Premier of the Northern Cape, Mr. Bentley Vass, accompanied by Members of the Executive Council and senior government officials, recently met with the Auditor General of South Africa, Ms. Tsakani Maluleke as part of the MFMA Roadshow

Also in attendance were the Speaker of the Northern Cape Provincial Legislature, Ms. Newrene Klaaste, and Members of the Provincial Legislature.

The meeting served as a platform for the Auditor General to present the  outcomes of the 2023–2024 Municipal Finance Management Act (MFMA) audit.

Constructive discussions focused on interventions to strengthen municipalities, ensuring compliance with legislation and the delivery of efficient, effective local government services.
