This past Wednesday, the Northern Cape Provincial Legislature, held a House Sitting in the NCPL Chambers in order to introduce the Northern Cape Main Appropriation Bill, 2025, and the Northern Cape Direct Charges Amendment Bill, 2025.
MEC for Finance, Economic Development & Tourism Ms. Venus Blennies-Magage highlighted the province’s decision to address financial challenges by allocating R71.6 million for critical sectors like education, health, and infrastructure.
With a focus on fiscal discipline, the government is investing in key priorities such as appointing additional doctors, supporting early childhood development, and tackling debt.
Despite facing budget shortfalls, the Northern Cape is committed to transparent governance and strategic resource management. This budget aims to improve service delivery and support community development.
