The MEC of Health in the Northern Cape, Mr Mxolisi S. Sokatsha, would like to take this opportunity to announce the Provincial Launch of the Voluntary Counseling and Testing (VCT) Week starting on 28 September - 02 October 2009.

During the week, everyone across the province is urged to visit their nearest health care facility to voluntarily get tested for HIV. The testing process will consist of pre-test counseling, testing and post-test counseling.

The theme of the VCT Week is: “Know your status, lead and unite”

The VCT Week is a build up to the National Partnership Against AIDS event which will be hosted by the Northern Cape Province on the 09th of October in Kimberley.
