The MEC for Health in province, Mr Mxolisi Sokatsha in collaboration with the South-African National Council for the Blind, it’s agency the Bureau for the Prevention of Blindness division and VODACOM, will commemorate annual World Sight Day on 12 October 2011 as part of October Eye Care Awareness month in the Frances Baard District in the Northern Cape Province.

Eye Screening, Spectacles and Eye operations will be done FREE of charge.
Similar eye awareness tours will be embarked upon in the next three months in the
Pixley-Ka Seme,Siyanda and Namaqua districts respectively.
