In an effort to eradicate polio and measles, the Northern Cape Department of Health will be conducting a national immunization campaign to protect all children in the province from polio and measles from 29th April to 17th May 2013. The second round of polio vaccination will take place from 17th to 28th June 2013. The aim of the campaign is to diminish the number of children that are susceptible to polio and measles, therefore all children under the age of five will be targeted.
