The Department of Social Development recently signed the Service Level Agreement with BOSASA who will be managing the De Aar Secure Care . The are renowned for their innovativeness , expertise and knowledge in dealing with children in conflict with the law.
The Secure Care Centre signifies a determination by the provincial government to ensure that young people will be kept out of prison. Its provides a more sensitive environment for some of the most disadvantaged and socially deprived young people in our society.
The De Aar Secure Care Centre was handed over to BOSASA on the 01 st April 2011 and will be officially launched in the near future.
