By the end of March this year, the total number of registered NPOs was 85 248 and there has been a steady growth in various provinces. Northern Cape has low number of NPOs which is 2% of the total as compared to other provinces.
It is in this context that the Minister identified a need to host dialogues with the NPO sector across all provinces including the Northern Cape. These dialogues will culminate into the national NPO Summit which will be hosted in August this year.
