Parents with Children living with Autism to meet the National Minister of Social Development

In the budget vote of the National Department of Social Development the Minister for Social Development  on the 08 May 2013 the Minister indicated that Social Development will be extending its work on disabilities and assist people with special needs and therefore they will be commencing with interventions in two neglected areas namely Albinism and Autism. She indicated that many children and young people in our country who have these conditions and special needs remain without assistance from government.

Therefore in order to address this she will be interacting and engaging with identified parents from all nine provinces who children living with Autism on the 10 May 2013 at the Gugulethu Sports Complex in Cape Town.

On Saturday 11 May 2013 at the same venue the Minister will have a dialogue with youth with Albinism.

The parents who has children with Autism and who will be representing the Northern Cape tomorrow at the Dialogues are Ms Charity Modiakgotla from Kimberley and Katlego Mogorosi from Pampierstad.

The youth with Albinism will depart for Cape Town tomorrow at 8H10 and 18h10 from the Kimberley Airport.
