The Department of Social Development and Wildeklawer has entered into a food distribution partnership which builds on and compliments the food for all campaign.

The Northern Cape Department of Social Development and Wildeklawer agreed on addressing the issues of food security in the Frances Baard and a section of the John Taolo Gaetsewe Districts.

Wildeklawer has excess vegetables and fruit available throughout the year and has agreed to donate the excess food to food provision services points or soup kitchens currently funded by the Department of Social Development.

This will lead to the identified Soup Kitchens and Drop-In-Centres now being able to extend the days they are serving food and will lead to the improvement of the identified soup kitchens and drop inn centres in the Francis Baard and John Taolo Gaetsewe District.

A joint media briefing between the Department of Social Development led by MEC Chotelo and Wildeklawer led by Mr Louis De Kock will be held as forth
