The Minister of Human Settlements, Ms Mmamoloko Kubayi together with the Deputy Minister Ms Pam Tshwete and Premier of the Northern Cape, Dr Zamani Saul, will tomorrow 18th of October 2021, officially hand over the Lerato Park Integrated Housing Development Project to 150 allocated beneficiaries.
The project is located within the jurisdiction of Sol Plaatje Municipality and will deliver a total of 458 Community Residential Units (CRU’s).
Tomorrow’s hand over of some of these rental units is part of government’s efforts to restore the dignity of the indigent people through the delivery of sustainable human settlements. The delegation, led by the Minister will also hand over about 100 Title Deeds in Lerato Park.
This is the second provincial visit to Kimberly in particular, to collaboratively improve performance and unlock delays in delivery. The visit with also culminate in the opening of a temporary nearby clinic to service the community.
The Minister and Premier will be joined by the MEC for COGHSTA, Bentley Vass, and the MEC for Health, Mr Maruping Lekwene as well as the Mayor of Sol Plaatje Municipality, Councillor Patrick Mabilo and other provincial leadership.
